About the event
Difficulty: Easy; mostly flat ground
Fragrance Walk and the Botany of Witchcraft is a guided tour of man's relationship to magic and it’s oral history—told through the lens of botany.
This topic explores the lores of old mighty trees, flowers of prophecy inducing dreams, potions of toxic poison plants, sentience of stuffed dolls, leaves that speak to the dead, wishing granting spells and insidious myths of witches.
These walks are one of many designed to erase tree blindness and introduce B.C.’s botany.
We acknowledge that our tour takes place within the unceded, ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
